17 Iowa organizations will receive Wellmark Foundation Large MATCH grants

DES MOINES— The Wellmark Foundation has notified Hardin County Recreation Trail developers and 16 other Iowa organizations they will receive matching assets to community health grants up to $100,000 each to help with future development of their projects. The payout is contingent upon securing the matching funds and here in Hardin County the proponents of the Iowa River Trail say they are confident they will meet the requirement.

The grant here in Hardin County will go toward the next phase of recreation trail development which in 2019 is to complete renovation of seven bridges between Steamboat Rock and the South Fork of the Iowa River waterway near Gifford.
